4. UHOME Project

UHOME is a project operated as part of UHUG.

The project assists with housing-related information and communications and may use digital tools to manage and publish housing-related information and other relevant content through communication platforms operated or administered by UHUG.

Content intended for publication may include information supplied directly to UHUG or information submitted for the purpose of being shared with people looking for accommodation or related services.

Where personal information is included in content intended for publication, UHUG processes that information in accordance with applicable data protection requirements and the purpose for which the information was supplied.

5. Uhome Telegram Sync and Meta Platforms

UHUG operates an internal application called Uhome Telegram Sync.

Uhome Telegram Sync is an administrative and technical tool used by authorised UHUG personnel to assist with publishing authorised content from the UHOME Telegram channel to the UHOME Facebook Page using the Meta Graph API.

The application is operated solely for UHUG's own administrative purposes. Uhome Telegram Sync is not offered as a public Facebook Login service and is not intended to create Facebook accounts or user profiles for members of the public.

For the purpose of operating the integration with Meta Platforms, the application may process limited information provided by or exchanged with Meta Platforms, including:

  • Facebook Page identifiers;
  • Facebook post identifiers;
  • Facebook photo, video and other media identifiers;
  • Publication status and related technical metadata;
  • Authentication and authorisation information required to communicate securely with the Meta Graph API;
  • Content and media necessary to create authorised publications;
  • Technical information necessary to verify that authorised content has been published correctly;
  • Technical records required to prevent accidental duplicate publications, diagnose errors and maintain the reliability of the service.

This information is processed only where necessary for legitimate administrative and technical purposes connected with the operation of UHOME and UHUG's Facebook Page.

Platform Data obtained through Meta Platforms or the Meta Graph API is not used to determine, evaluate or influence any individual's eligibility for housing, accommodation, tenancy, or any other housing-related opportunity or service.

UHUG does not use Platform Data obtained through this integration to build, augment or maintain profiles of individual users without their consent for any purpose.

UHUG does not use information obtained through the Meta Graph API for advertising profiling, nor does it sell this information.

6. Telegram

UHUG may use Telegram as a communication and content-management platform for its projects, including UHOME.

Where content is supplied or published through Telegram and subsequently authorised for publication through another UHUG-managed platform, limited content and associated technical information may be processed by UHUG systems for that purpose.

When individuals interact directly with Telegram, Telegram's own privacy policy and terms apply.

7. Facebook and Meta Platforms

UHUG maintains and administers pages and services on Meta Platforms, including Facebook.

Where UHUG uses Meta services or the Meta Graph API, certain information may be processed by Meta independently in accordance with Meta's own terms and privacy policies.

8. Third-Party Service Providers

UHUG may use third-party technology providers, hosting providers, communication platforms and other service providers where reasonably necessary to operate its website, projects and services.

Where a third party processes personal data on behalf of UHUG, UHUG takes reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate contractual and data protection arrangements are in place where required by applicable law.

9. Legal Basis for Processing

Depending on the circumstances, UHUG may process personal data on one or more lawful bases permitted under the GDPR, including consent, contractual necessity, compliance with legal obligations, or legitimate interests pursued by UHUG.

Platform Data that is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was obtained will be deleted or anonymised, subject to any applicable legal retention obligations.

UHUG takes reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised or unlawful access, use, disclosure, alteration, accidental loss or destruction.
